This song very adequately fills the “lead-off” role for “Tsiyon Bound”, effectively setting the stage for the remainder of the musical line-up. A line in an old Gospel song says, “This world is not my home; I’m just a’ passin’ through”. What a blessed assurance we have in the solid promises of YHWH, that we as HIS remnant will one day return to Y’rushalyem to be with HIM—and forever in the New Y’rushalyem.

I have long had a desire to take certain well-known secular songs and transform them into songs that give glory and honor to our Adonai. With the basis for these new lyrics provided by Viola Moss, I arranged them so as to flow in harmony with the original song’s theme. Because of her efforts and openness to the Ruach of YHWH, the wheels for this album project were set in motion.

I would also express further gratitude for the influence in this particular song of my covenant partner, SueJean. In this song, she is responsible for providing a Hebrew flair with the spelling and pronunciations of “Y’rushalyem” and “Y’israel”. Let us all go forth from this day, steadfastly moving together toward our victory march down “The King’s Highway”.
